It takes the form of a synthetic faux hackle mounted on a monofilament core, which can be left intact to create elongated bodies or strong, stable tails.

By removing the monofilament, the fibers can be wrapped or cut to make an excellent bucktail substitute, perfect for streamers, baitfish, and sea flies.
