The Promotava is an artificial imitation used in fly fishing that is particularly well known in the competitive world. This nymph has gained popularity due to its effectiveness in a variety of fishing conditions. One of the most popular variants features a hare dubbing body with fluorescent orange ringing and dark brown CDC hackles. This combination is particularly effective in lightly cloudy waters and during days with low atmospheric pressure and overcast skies. Although it does not specifically mimic any insects, the attractiveness of the materials and colors used make it very catchable for both trout and, in smaller sizes, grayling.
