It is an excellent substitute for all those flies where bucktail is required. More durable and resistant than any other material of natural origin, it provides our flies with volume and great castability. Simply essential when we make artificials dedicated to pike and, more generally, to predators equipped with sharp teeth. Matteo’s advice It is a material that I like very much and that I use very often. Obviously for pike flies for which I consider it essential but also for artificials in which I need to give volume and substance without making the streamer too heavy.
