WHITE FAUX BUCKTAIL
Description
Faux Bucktail is a synthetic material designed to imitate the natural bucktail used in fly construction. Unlike traditional bucktail, Faux Bucktail offers a number of advantages due to its uniform texture, consistent fiber length (about 6 inches) and absence of unusable fibers. The fibers of Faux Bucktail are pre-cut and glued to the base, facilitating use and assembly during fly construction. In addition, these fibers are not hollow, which allows the flies to sink faster than using natural bucktail.
Faux Bucktail’s synthetic fibers are also more durable, making it suitable for dealing with large specimen fishing, such as pike and dorado, due to their resistance to the teeth of predatory fish. Another advantage of Faux Bucktail is its ability to mix easily with other materials, both natural and synthetic, to create unique and versatile combinations. Available in a range of vibrant and stable colors, it will not fade or stain while fishing.
This material is ideal for constructing flies such as Clouser Minnows, Deceivers and other streamer and jig patterns
